Account and access
Why an access code may not arrive
VERIFIED signs you in with a six-digit code sent by email rather than a password. If the code has not arrived, these are the usual reasons.
Check the obvious things first
- Look in spam or junk. This is by far the most common cause. The message comes from
[email protected]. - Check the address you entered. A code goes only to the address typed on the sign-in screen. A small typo sends it somewhere you cannot see.
- Wait a minute. Delivery is usually quick but some providers hold mail briefly.
Make sure you are using the right address
Your VERIFIED Account is tied to one email address: the one you used when you created it. If you have several addresses, a code sent to a different one will create a separate account rather than sign you in to your existing one.
If you are not sure which address you used, request a code for each in turn. Only the correct one will let you into your existing account.
The code expires
Access codes are valid for a short period and can only be used once. If you request several codes, only the most recent one works. Using an older code will fail even if it arrived correctly.
If your email provider is blocking it
Work addresses are the most likely to filter automated mail. Ask your IT team to allow mail from verified.com, or use a personal address instead.
If you cannot access the email account at all
This needs Support rather than self-service, because proving who you are without access to your registered address requires a manual check. Choose Account and access and then I no longer have access to my email when you contact us.
Never share the code
A VERIFIED access code signs someone in to your account. VERIFIED Support will never ask you for it. If anyone asks you to read out or forward a code, it is not us.
