Delete your VERIFIED data

You can ask us to permanently delete your VERIFIED Account and the data connected to it. This page explains what happens, what we must keep, and how to make the request.

What gets deleted

• Your VERIFIED Account and sign-in details
• Your Personal Profile and any public profile page
• Connected identifiers such as email addresses, phone numbers and domains
• Identity verification records and any evidence held by our verification provider
• Your verification requests, checks and saved results
• Links between VERIFIED and any social account you connected

What we may have to keep

We would rather tell you this plainly than surprise you later. A small amount of information may be retained where the law requires it or where deleting it would harm someone else:

• Records of financial transactions, which tax and accounting law requires us to keep for a set period
• Security and fraud records, including impersonation reports made about you or by you, so that a deletion cannot be used to erase evidence of harm to someone else
• A minimal record that a deletion request was made and actioned, so we can show we honoured it

Anything retained is kept only for as long as the law or the safety reason requires, and is not used to build a profile of you.

What happens to confirmations others rely on

If you confirmed a business affiliation, that business will see the affiliation end. Anyone holding a past verification result will see that it is no longer current. They will not be told why.

How long it takes

We aim to complete deletion within 30 days of you confirming the request, and we will email you when it is done.

Deleting only your social account link

If you signed in using Facebook or Google and only want to remove that connection, choose that option below. Your VERIFIED Account stays, and you can still sign in with your email address.

Request deletion

We will email a confirmation link to the address you enter. Nothing is deleted until you open that link, so nobody can delete your data by typing your address here.
